AHS is seeking a Per-Diem Radiological Tech to work at Newton Medical Center.
Performs diagnostic radiologic procedures according to departmental protocols and ensures all pertinent information is available.
Obtains and records all required medical history from patient.
Prepares and positions patients according to protocol with patient safety and quality imaging standards followed at all times.
Practice universal precautions, and aseptic technique.
Processes images using PACS technology.
Reports equipment and image artifacts to appropriate personnel.
Properly presents images in PACS, including anatomical orientation, image annotation and window/level.
Completes required data in RIS/PACS system.
Assesses all patients prior, during and after radiographic examination.
Responds to patients needs in a professional manner and works as a collaborative team member in the department.
Must be a graduate of AMA certified radiography program, must hold a NJ License and be ARRT registered. Must have a valid CPR certification.
Must be a team player and able to multitask.
Must exemplify professionalism and compassion while ensuring patient safety and the delivery of quality imaging services.
Effective communication skills with physicians, coworkers, supervisors, etc required.
