Morristown Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for Corporate Health Services. Hours: 8 am-4 pm; no weekends.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Assesses, diagnoses, treats & prescribes for a variety of ambulatory care complaints and episodic illnesses. 
  • Performs Lab Testing: Rapid Strep, Urine Dipstick under the CLIA and State Lab Licensing Regulations. 
  • Prescribes appropriate medications and devices within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, the collaborative agreement and prescribing protocols and according to accepted clinical guidelines. 
  • Establishes relationships with employees and addresses and monitors individual health concerns. 
  • Provides education & monitoring for chronic illnesses as required by the patient and/or at the request of the Primary Provider.
  • Refers patients to their Primary Provider, Urgent Center physician, Emergency Department, or specialist as necessary.
  • Consults with the Occupational Health Medical Director or his/her designee or collaborating physician as required. 
  • Documents medical treatment in patient log and in patient health chart.
  • Maintains record confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other regulations.
  • Provides client with monthly reports of activity.
  • Responds to on-site emergencies, administers first aid and conducts follow up with patient as necessary.


The Employer Based Advanced Practice Nurse is accountable to Atlantic Corporate Health department management for the planning and installation of the program in the client company.  

Promotes a safer work environment and reinforces health and wellness awareness for the employees. 

Meets the needs of the client company within the parameters of the medical directives, program guidelines, and time and scheduling demands. 

Collaborates with the Occupational Health Medical Director, his/her designee or other designated collaborating physician. 

Keeps client aware of potential or developing problems while maintaining employee confidentiality as necessary.

Works closely with the Account Manager/Speaker Coordinator to provide/promote AHS services.

Responsible for contributing to the overall goals and objectives of Atlantic Corporate Health Department.

Required to set goals and objectives for self-Performance Evaluation Tool (Success Factors) for AHS

Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

Mastes Degree required


Required License:

Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required

Related Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of Acute Care Medical Surgical or Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
