Overview

Atlantic Medical Group, a member of Atlantic Health System,is currently seeking an experienced CMA for our Shared Services - Adult Department.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Selected candidate will assume clinical as well as administrative responsibilities including rooming patients, taking vitals and documenting in take in an EMR, assisting physician with procedures, stocking rooms, managing phones, scheduling appointments, checking in/ checking out, processing insurance referrals, obtaining insurance authorizations, and other functions typical of a CMA in a physician practice.

 

Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of a HS Diploma required.
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.

 

Certifications:

  • MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required.

 

Related Experience:

  • Post externship MA experience preferred.
  • Computer literacy is a must.
  • EMR experience desired.
