Overview

HackettstownMedical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System,is seeking a PD Radiological Tech. Shift varies.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

 

  • PerformPerforms diagnostic radiologic procedures according to departmental protocols and ensures all pertinent information is available.
  • Obtains and records all required medical history from patient.
  • Prepares and positions patients according to protocol with patient safety and quality imaging standards followed at all times.
  • Practice universal precautions, and aseptic technique.
  • Processes images using PACS technology.
  • Reports equipment and image artifacts to appropriate personnel.
  • Properly presents images in PACS, including anatomical orientation, image annotation and window/level.
  • Completes required data in RIS/PACS system.
  • Assesses all patients prior, during and after radiographic examination.
  • Responds to patients needs in a professional manner and works as a collaborative team member in the department.

 

 

Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Must be a graduate of AMA certified radiography program

 

Required License:

  • Must hold a NJ License and be ARRT registered

 

Certifications:

  • Must have a valid CPR certification.

 

Related Experience:

  • Must be a team player and able to multitask.
  • Must exemplify professionalism and compassion while ensuring patient safety and the delivery of quality imaging services.
  • Effective communication skills with physicians, coworkers, supervisors, etc required.
