Essential Job Functions:
◾Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
◾Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
◾Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
This is a full time night shift position with required shift flexibility to meet department staffing needs. Successful candidates guides and participates in physician conference calls regarding patient transfer needs. Initiates steps relevant to patient transfer. Collects and interprets clinical information relevant to transfer including level of care, patient's appropriate transfer path including level of care/placement. Takes and relays patient condition report. Anticipates, manages, and resolves problems associated with changing situations. Prioritizes and coordinates critical care and other bed resources in receiving hospitals. Acts as a clinical resource to all. Coordinates all modes of transport to achieve timely patient movement. Communicates relevant information to all parties. Demonstrates excellent team work skills. Works effectively with multiple parties to accomplish efficient transfers. Able to work under pressure & through stressful periods and still effectively multi-task. Self-motivated, highly organized. This position is located at Atlantic Ambulance, Livingston New Jersey. Successful candidate must be able to work twelve hour shifts and every other weekend. This shift is primarily a day shift position with required shift flexibility.
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
Valid NJ RN License
BLS certification required
ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 mos of hire
Minimum of 3 year’s experience in these areas (Acute Care, Cardiac/Tele/Critical Care/ED)
