Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a PD Health Educator for the Corporate Health Services Unit.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design, implement, oversee and evaluate using individual and population-based health promotion strategies to improve lifestyle choices and create a healthy corporate environment
  • Act as a liaison between the corporation community and Atlantic Health System services
  • Facilitate health and wellness vendor delivery of wellness services including but not limited to: health risk assessment and existing disease management programs
  • Conduct programs to include but not limited to: healthy lifestyle coaching, Team-Up Scale Down (weight loss programming), Tobacco Cessation, health tables, screenings (Blood Pressure, Biometrics, etc.) and lectures.
  • Serve as a community health and wellness resource person
  • Perform related duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Required bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Health Education or other related field from an accredited institution.

 

Certifications:

  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred, or CHES-eligible.
  • Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certification 

 

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate has experience in successful health promotion programs focused on tobacco cessation, stress management and weight loss/weight management. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
