    Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Sec/Tech for Cardiac Administration at Morristown Medical Center. Days, 6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and weekends as needed.


    Essential Job Functions:

    • Efficiently coordinate the flow of patients, physicians, and staff in a fast-paced patient care setting
    • Schedule patients for cardiovascular testing using PHS (Pathways Healthcare Scheduling), registration using STAR, and knowledge of ICD 10 codes.
    • Must be patient focused and flexible, willing to pitch in as needed and assist with patient care and transportation as needed to meet patient and department testing needs.
    • Must be flexible to adjust hours to meet the needs of the department.
    • Must be proficient at coordination and organization of administrative duties to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of patient flow.
    • Meet the requirements of a Secretary/ Technician Criteria Based Performance Appraisal.
    • Comply with hospital policies and procedures. Attend department meetings and participate in projects.
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills. Ensure patient/family expectations are exceeded.

    • HS Diploma required. College preferred.



    Related Experience:

    • must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
    • must have exceptional communication, organization, and customer service skills
    • Prior administrative and/ or patient care experience in health care preferred. Registration experience desirable.
