    Responsibilities

    The NP woks collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team and is responsible for providing comprehensive and age appropriate care to patients and gastrointestinal conditions.  NP educates patients and/or intervenes in acute or chronic illnesses. The NP works under the guidance of the AMG GI physicians.  NP will primarily be devoted to the hospital and ER handling IP consults an FU’s.  On a limited basis, the NP will assist the GI physicians during the weekend calls as well as outpatient visits.

     

    The Nurse Practitioner will report to the AMG GI physician. 

     

    Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

    Qualifications

    Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills

     

     Education: 
    BSN Required 
    Master’s Degree Required 

    Required License: 
    Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required

     

    Certifications
    BLS Required 
    ACLS Required
