  • Overview

    Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Database Coordinator for the Mother/Baby Unit. This is a daytime position - 8 am until 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Job Functions:

     

    • Oversight of the Obstetrical databases for all 4 AHS Maternity Centers.
    • Must identify discrepancies and omissions of key information.
    • Communicate changes/additions to be added for clarity/accuracy of the data
    • Collaborate with the VIP coordinator on accuracy of all Birth Certificate information
    • Collaborate with AHS Quality Director to review Core measures and accuracy of reported information to required agencies
    • Collaborate with leadership for necessary data needed for projects.
    • Must maintain historical files for records 

     

    Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.  Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.

     

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, accounting, economics, statistics, information sciences, or equivalent work experience

     

    Related Experience:

    • Minimum of 1 - 3 years experience in a highly data centric role
    • Proficient in Crystal Reporting
    • Proficient in Power Point 
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel – Experience using PivotTables, PivotCharts, various Excel functions and logic
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Excellent planning, prioritizing and organizational skills
    • Ability to interpret and present data generated
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
