    The Electroneurodiagnostics Department of Overlook Medical Center is currently seeking a Per Diem Electroneurodiagnostic Tech. High School Diploma, graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Tech program required. AA or BA/BS preferred. R-EEG-T or registration eligible required. Position will include weekend coverage, minimum one (1) holiday per year and occasional on-call. Selected candidate will perform neurodiagnostic studies including routine EEG, long-term video EEG, BAER, VER, and SSEP on adult and pediatric patients.     Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    • As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, studies performed will encompass: routine/sleep deprived EEGs, long-term monitoring including Video EEGs/Ambulatory EEGs, monitoring during WADA procedures, invasive monitoring with intracranial grids/strips. Will work with a wide variety of hospital environments and patient types including: neonate through adult patient populations, Neuro ICU, Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU and Behavioral Health environments. Employees must be able to work independently as well as in a team setting. Must be skilled in their ability to provide a technologist's impression of their studies and be able to relay pertinent information to their partnering physicians.
    • Per-diem employees are expected to work a minimum of one weekend per-month and one holiday per year. Must be willing to cover gaps in department schedule due to vacation or sudden call-outs.

    Qualifications


    • Graduate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic Program.

    • Must have R. EEG T., or be able to sit for the registration exam.
