    Atlantic Health System is currently seeking an experienced and strategic professional able to establish collaborative relationships with system stakeholders to drive operational excellence for the pediatric service line. The ideal candidate has demonstrated ability to execute pediatric strategies to enhance and grow new programs while improving the patient experience. The director will work in concert with the pediatric medical director, ambulatory director and system leadership to set expectations for quality priorities and assess outcomes for the service line. Background in achieving financial and operational success is required, along with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

    Responsibilities

    Working collaboratively with colleagues across the system, the candidate selected will:

    • Demonstrate experience in achieving successful financial and operational outcomes
    • Proven ability to link system services and expand pediatric service line points of access
    • Have broad understanding of medical and surgical pediatric programs and program development
    • Have clear grasp of similarities and differences between children’s and adult services as well as opportunities in working with a children’s hospital within a hospital in a large health system
    • Enhance key pediatric service line programs across the system
    • Grow average annual total pediatric revenue and contribution margin
    • Offer thought leadership for growth oriented business plans for pediatric service line
    • Recommend and implement approved strategies to grow or maintain pediatric inpatient and outpatient volume
    • Identify pediatric specialty gaps and create recruitment and succession plans as needed
    • Excellent communicator, able to collaborate and develop relationships with physician leaders
    • Strengthen relationships with referring and pediatric physicians across the system to support a network of coordinated patient care
    • Achieve nationally recognized quality and safety metrics
    • Support all system areas in achieving team member, physician and patient satisfaction goals
    • Play a leadership role in fund raising organizations efforts to raise pediatric service line capital
    • Participate in the development of an integrated care delivery system and ensure compliance with chronic care, complex care and discharge planning processes
    • Promote a culture of continuous learning and discovery

    Qualifications

    • Master’s Degree in healthcare or business
    • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in the management of a pediatric specialty
    • Demonstrated success in pediatriac strategy
    • Healthcare system experience
    • Possesses oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, computer skills and ability to multi-task
    • Must have excellent customer service and follow-through
    • Demonstrated successful achievement of system goals, financial acumen and inter facility collaboration in support of AHS Strategy
