  • Overview

    Women's Health at Newton, part of Atlantic Medical Group, is seeking an experienced CMA on a Per Diem basis.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    • The CMA will room patients, perform vital signs, reviewing/updating patient history & medications in Epic, management of patient flow, maintain and stock exam rooms, register & schedule patients, assist with phones, order clinical supplies, assist with in office procedures, act as a chaperone, chart prep of OB patients, pre-certifications, ordering of IUD’s and medications from patient’s specialty pharmacy, scanning incoming results into Epic, reviewing overdue results in Epic, and all other tasks within their scope of practice that promote efficient work flow within the practice. Other responsibilities include phone management, scheduling appointments, greet and register patients, verify patient
      demographics, scan insurance and ID cards, and collect & post copayments.

    Qualifications

    Education:

     

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required
    • Post externship experience preferred. OB/GYN practice experience preferred
    • EMR experience desired
    • Proficiency in physician practice management system including scheduling and registration tasks essential
    • Must be able to work flexible hours including one (1) evening per week and one (1) early morning per week
    • Travel to other OB/GYN practices is required
