  • Overview

    The System Analyst Level II is responsible for providing support for Epic related infrastructure upgrades, implementations and maintenance as needed.   They will demonstrate an aptitude to represent the team as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on projects and initiatives.


    • Configuration, management and monitoring of the servers that are part of the infrastructure supporting the Epic environment.
    • Administration of Windows based Epic applications and Epic Web Services.
    • Creation and maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution of Epic enterprise print services (EPS) server side printing and Windows client side printing.
    • Monitor and support outgoing Epic faxing services.
    • Installation, configuration, maintaining, and upgrading all Windows-based Epic applications and services, such as hyperspace, hyperspace web, web blob, Epic print services, System Pulse, BCA, BCA Web, interconnect, MyChart, EpicCare Link.
    • Use System Pulse and tools such as Solar Winds to monitor system performance and determine and report the cause of any unexpected decrease in performance; tune system configurations to maintain optimal system performance.
    • Establish a baseline for system performance and capacity planning for all Epic and Citrix servers.
    • Coordinate, implement and set up integration for all Windows-based Epic applications and services.
    • Coordinates with Caché and Release Coordinator the installation and configuration of Epic SU (special upgrades) packages.
    • Work closely with the Infrastructure Engineering team to manage and deploy updates and new releases to Epic Citrix servers.
    • Create and maintain documentation for server builds, troubleshooting and help guides.
    • Create and maintain run books for implementation projects. 
    • Follow ITIL process with respect to Change/incident management. 



    • Minimum 4 - 5 years in information systems application support and/or technical services.
    • Experience working with Citrix
    • Epic Certification is preferred
    • Prior healthcare and Epic Experience Preferred.

    Project Management Skills:

    • Ability to effectively manage small scale projects utilizing introductory project management methodologies
