Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-time, Assistant Nurse Manager for our Orthopedic/Trauma Care Unit - Davino 1 at Morristown Medical Center  to work from 7:00 pm - 5:00 am, including weekends as required by department.

Essential Job Function:

  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills
  • Candidate assists the manager with personnel interviews
  • Candidate will participate in regulatory audits i.e. Department of Health and The Joint Commission and monthly hospital audits
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities as directed for the Unit Budget
  • Flexible with schedule to meet the units needs
  • Participates and coordinates daily huddles, monthly staff meetings and department meetings
  • Mentors staff
  • Collaborates new hire orientation with educators
  • Charge duties and responsibilities
  • Participate in Shared Governance committees



  • BSN Required


  • Valid New Jersey RN License


  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Cardiac Dysthymia Certification

Relevant Experience:

  • At least 3 years of Inpatient Orthopedic Registered Nurse experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Orthopedic Certification required, willing to allow 6 months for completion
