Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Unit  at Morristown Medical Center- Gagnon 3 primarily working 7:00am - 7:30pm, including weekend as needed.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Function:

  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills
  • Candidate assists the manager with personnel interviews
  • Candidate will participate in regulatory audits i.e. Department of Health and The Joint Commission and monthly hospital audits
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities as directed for the Unit Budget
  • Flexible with schedule to meet the units needs
  • Participates and coordinates daily huddles, monthly staff meetings and department meetings
  • Mentors staff
  • Collaborates new hire orientation with educators
  • Charge duties and responsibilities
  • Participate in Shared Governance committees

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • BSN Required

License/Certification

  • Valid New Jersey RN License

Relevant Experience:

  • At least 3 years of Cardiac care as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
