Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per-diem MRI Technologist for the Radiology - MRI Department at Newton Medical Center. Shift varies, including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures patients physical and psychological comfort
  • Ensures availability of medical records, labs and screening sheets for examination
  • Explains all procedures in a clear and concise manner without causing unnecessary anxiety
  • Monitors patient's physical condition throughout procedure

Qualifications

Education:

  • Must be a graduate of approved NJ radiographic program
  • Must hold a NJ state license register technologist certificate (RT) with advanced certificate in MRI (MR) 
  • Candidate must have valid CPR certification.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be a team player and able to multitask in the hospital/outpatient environment
  • Must exemplify professionalism and compassion while ensuring patient safety and the delivery of quality imaging services
  • Effective communication skills with physicians, coworkers, supervisors, etc required
