Overview

The Professional Charging Application Analyst is a full-time position with Atlantic Health System (AHS) on the Epic Revenue Cycle Team. The position has the responsibility for the implementation, optimization and support of Epic Charge Router for professional charges. The work is accomplished in a team environment and requires excellent problem solving and communication skills with a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth analysis of operational workflows and provide solutions for any technical issues with Epic software in the areas of Professional charging.
  • Work closely with Hospital charging team to make sure both billing systems are working as expected as a result of any changes.
  • Understand and analyze business operations as they relate to software design and build decisions.
  • Drive optimization projects in Professional charging and provides reporting solutions in terms of dashboards and Reporting Workbench reports in Epic.
  • Integrate new departments into existing system level build without impact to existing customers
  • Create charge files for third party billing systems for ambulatory go lives
  • Act as a content expert resource for billing integration
  • Analyze business processes and procedures
  • Define and document customer requirements
  • Perform system configuration /development tasks
  • Proactively monitor and maintain systems
  • Manage and perform project tasks
  • Develop and maintain reports
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and billing related build

Qualifications

Education:

  • Epic Charge Router certification required

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years work experience within information technology or a Professional Billing office
  • Experience with Professional Billing system build and configuration
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of hospital billing practices and principles
  • Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources and analyze applicability and appropriateness, and develop an efficient workflow
  • Experience with organizational strategies, business operations, and end-user requirements to develop system design and training projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and change management skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships
