Overview

The Occupational Medicine Department of Morristown Medical Center is currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. Will be in Morristown, NJ but must be flexible for travel.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Clinical and administrative responsibilities will include greeting team members, managing phones, filing, scanning, directing customers as appropriate for smooth clinic flow
  • Utilizing an electronic medical record as well as Microsoft 365, taking vital signs, height/weight, vision testing, vaccine administration, urine specimens, and fit testing. 
  • Traveling to hospital sites may be necessary to assist as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA
  • Prior MA experience in a hospital and/or physician's office experience preferred
  • Occupational Medicine experience a plus
  • Chain of Custody Drug screening certification desired
  • Able to travel to other hopsital sites if necessary
