Atlantic Health System, one of the largest non-profit health care organizations in New Jersey, is currently seeking a full-time medical physicist to work primarily at the Radiation Oncology Department at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. The position will also provide coverage at other facilities in the Atlantic Health System as assigned.
The Medical Physics section currently has seven medical physicists and five dosimetrists. Our clinic provides conventional 3D, IMRT, VMAT, and a robust SBRT/SRS services as well as HDR brachytherapy. The system currently has six Varian Linac, one Cyberknife, one Tomotherapy, and one Brachytherapy unit. The practice at Overlook Medical Center is equipped with two Varian iX linacs, an Accuray CyberKnife M6, a Phillips Brilliance Big Bore CT simulator, an off-site Accuray Tomotherapy system, ARIA R&V, Eclipse V13.7, and Velocity 4.1. An upgrade to a Varian TrueBeam is planned for 2021.
A successful candidate is expected to perform clinical duties including but not limited to machine QA, Linac calibrations, patient QA, chart checks, 4DCT, rigid/deformable registrations, Treatment Planning for VMAT/IMRT, and other aspects of clinical physics.
