Overview

Atlantic Health System / Atlantic Medical Group has an amazing opportunity available in the upscale and vibrant Morristown area of New Jersey for a Division Director for Urogynecology. As the leader of the Department this role will  build and expand the Urogynecology program at Atlantic Health System.  Provide all appropriate Urogynecology services within the scope of your license.  Work in close collaboration with the Chair and Medical Director of the Women’s Health Service line on strategy, expansion of the program, Develop initiatives to expand the surgical volume and promote safety and quality standards across the Department.

This position will report directly to the Medical Director of the Women’s Service line and the Chief Medical Officer for Atlantic Medical Group

Responsibilities

The Urogynecologist shall use his best efforts to discharge the following duties:

  1. Develop and support the program and service line
  2. Grow surgical volume across the AHS service line
  3. Participate in developing strategic plan and goals for the division
  4. Develop action plans to meet strategic goals set with the leadership team
  5. Diligently work to expand the referral base for urogynecology cases for all member of the division
  6. Mentor other members of the division
  7. Work to expand the surgical volume of all member of the division
  8. Lead policy and protocol development
  9. Ensure that all members of the division obtain and maintain ACOG and Urogynecology board completion status
  10. Perform clinical trials and develop research opportunities in the field of Urogynecology
  11. Supervise and educate attending MDs, Fellows, Residents, medical students
  12. Service as a leader in the department
  13. Assist the medical director and chair in promoting patient safety and quality and best practices
  14. Provide leadership and direction through service line, department and hospital committee participation
  15. Meet with the Chair and Medical Director of the service line monthly
  16. Provide all appropriate Urogynecology service within the scope of the physician’s license
  17. Participate in community education and scientific programs as delegated or assigned
  18. Meet with the AMG operations director, executive director and medical director of the service line quarterly or more frequently as needed
  19. Participate in OBGYN grand rounds, conferences and business meetings
  20. Assist the Chair and Medical Director of the service line in activities as requested

Qualifications

Board certification in OBGYN and Fellowship Trained in Urogynecology with active board certification
