Overview

Chilton Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a Full-time Environmental Aide.  Required hours vary, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

General cleaning - 7 step cleaning procedure in assigned areas: high/low dusting, floor dusting, damp dusting and spot clean, trash removal, bathroom cleaning, damp mopping, vacuum carpets, damp mop or vacuum baseboards.

  • Provide a clean/safe environment for patients, visitors and team members.
  • Follow all prescribed State, Federal, JCAHO, Hospital and department standard.
  • Inspection of completed area.
  • Great Customer Service/People Skills a must.
  • Previous experience a plus.

Qualifications

Education:

  • HS diploma or GED equivalent required or will obtain within 2 years of employment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write and understand English.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for an extended period of time.
  • Position includes cleaning of blood and bodily fluids.
