Overview

Overlook Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a Per Diem Transporter. Required hours vary, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate will be responsible to support the patient care teams in transporting patients to and from diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills to interact with patients and teams.
  • Candidate must be physically able to lift, push, pull minimum 50lbs.
  • Candidate must be physically able to assist a patient to the standing position and safely use assistive devices. (i.e. lifts, slide boards, walkers, canes)
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • CPR, BLS certification preferred.
  • Certified hospital transporter preferred.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of Healthcare experience preferred
  • Requires lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs as an fundamental part of the job.
