We are seeking to hire a Rheumatologist for Morristown Medical Center.


Atlantic Health System is looking to hire staff Rheumatologist to join our team at a well-established practice in Morristown and Rockaway, New Jersey. The practice is growing rapidly.


This position will be affiliated with Morristown Medical Center.


The Rheumatologist shall use his/her best efforts to discharge the following duties


  1. Establish good working relationships with primary care physicians and other specialists and all other potential referral sources.
  2. Create a culture of service and excellence with staff, referral sources, patients and peers.
  3. Contribute to quality patient outcomes and assure compliance as set forth by Atlantic Health System, the Atlantic Health System Orthopedic Service Line, the Department of Orthopedics at the medical center(s), or other designated group or agency.
  4. Maintain collegial and collaborative relationships with peers at admitting hospitals and academic medical centers in order to meet the needs of the patients identified for referral for the purpose of tertiary or quaternary care.
  5. Provide Atlantic Medical Group with all the necessary documentation for the billing of services at all practice locations in a timely and thorough manner.
  6. Participate actively and enthusiastically in programmatic initiatives to maintain and enhance the services of the Institute for Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases and to develop and contribute to the reputational success of the Department.
  7. Participate in appropriate professional societies and accrue CME credits to fulfill medical center as well as licensure requirements and participatory qualifications for all insurance plans.
  8. Participate in community education and scientific programs as may be delegated or assigned to the rheumatologist by the Atlantic Medical Group.
  9. Maintain appointment at Atlantic Health System medical center(s) with adherence to the Medical Staff Bylaws per departmental and staff meetings as required by the medical center.
  10. Provide consultations at the request of Attending Physicians and patients at appropriate Atlantic Health System medical center(s).
  11. Develop and maintain a robust practice.
  12. Provide professional services in locations designated by Atlantic Health System and Atlantic Medical Group to enhance the breadth of rheumatology services to the community.
  13. Use and endorse the use of all of the Hospital’s automated systems, as appropriate and achieve 90% utilization of CPOM.


Education and Experience:


  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Fellowship trained in rheumatology
  • NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in NJ
