Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a HIM Coder, Outpatient for their Overlook Medical Center location. This incredible opportunity is an onsite full time role, day shift from 8AM- 4PM. This role is able to provide 1 day remote after the initial introductory period. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Review records and assigns ICD-10-CM & CPT codes/modifiers on all Minor Procedure/ ER/Observation records
  • Posts charges to ER/observation records
  • Maintain 95% accuracy on all OP/ER records while maintaining high productivity
  • Maintain coding credentials

Qualifications

Education:

  • RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCA preferred
  • Demonstrates knowledge of ICD-10-CM & ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4,
  • Anatomy & Physiology, Emergency Room Level assignment schemes, Modifiers and OP coding
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant hospital outpatient coding experience
  • EPIC and CAC experience beneficial
