Morristown Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a Full-time Environmental Aide III.  Required hours are 3:00pm - 11:00pm, including every other weekend. 


The Lead Housekeeper is responsible for the day to day oversight of assigned housekeeping operations and also completes housekeeping duties as assigned.  


The essential functions include:
(1) Work and Lead; (2) Operation of Epic Bed Board for Discharge Assign and Cleaning; (3) Knowledge of and ability to teach main cleaning procedures (10-step daily room cleaning, 12-step discharged room cleaning, floor cleaning and burnishing, general cleaning, position includes cleaning of blood and bodily fluids, etc); (4) Inspecting and reporting conditions of all assigned areas; (5) Training Team Members; (6) Ensuring that all assigned Team Members complete assigned schedules/assignments; (7) Presenting a positive attitude and inspiring leadership that fosters consistency and high performance; (8) Receiving and completing special assignments from manager; (9) Collaborating with nursing and all internal/external customers; (10) Validating waste and surveillance removal; and (11) Reporting needed repairs to Supervisor, Manager, and Director.





  • HS diploma or GED equivalent required.


  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Solid work history a must.
  • 1-2 Years of hospital housekeeping experience required.
