Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician for General Surgery- Inpatient at Overlook Medical Center to work from 7 AM to 7:30 PM including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
  • Obtaining and recording vital signs, weights, and heights
  • Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
  • Measuring and recording I & O
  • Performing EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
  • Observing and reporting changes in patients condition to the RN
  • Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care with a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity, and Excellence) in every aspect of their job
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills

 

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required

Experience Requirements:

  • 1-2 years PCT experience in an acute care setting
