Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department at Chilton Medical Center to work from 11 AM to 11 PM, including weekends as required by department.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Emergency Department team in the care delivery of patients, including pediatrics
  • Obtain vital signs, perform phlebotomy, EKGs
  • Assist with feeding, ADLs, ambulation and transfer of patients
  • Assist with minor procedures
  • Observe and report normal and abnormal findings to the RN
  • Maintain stock supplies and ready environment for care
  • Fulfill the role of a sitter when needed for 1:1 patient safety watch
  • Assist as needed with answering phones calls

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/ GED required
  • BLS required
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Possess proficient computer skills and demonstrate proper phone etiquette
  • EMT and / or nursing assistant certification and experience is strongly preferred 
  • Will consider candidates in enrolled in a nursing program.
