Overview

 

Chilton Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Technician to work in our Emergency Deparetment : 7PM - 7AM 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist the Emergency Department team in the care delivery of patients, including pediatrics
  • Obtain vital signs, perform phlebotomy, EKGs
  • Assist with feeding, ADLs, ambulation and transfer of patients
  • Assist with minor procedures
  • Observe and report normal and abnormal findings to the RN
  • Maintain stock supplies and ready environment for care
     

Qualifications

Education:

  • Qualified candidates possess high school diploma or GED.

 

Certifications:

  • Completion of AHA Basic Life Support Course (CPR) is required.

 

Related Experience:

  • Must be fluent in writing, reading and speaking English, must possess proficient computer skills.
  • Six months of prior healthcare experience in a patient care setting or equivalent is preferred. Completion of a nursing assistant training program or nursing school or EMT enrollment preferred.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a busy in ED setting
