Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Sonograher at the Center for Breast Health in Rockaway. The shift for this position is in the day and as needed. 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Prepares patients for US Breast exams and explains the procedure to the patients prior to exam.
  • Correlates the clinical history and the patient with the Breast US exam to be performed.
  • Differentiates artifacts from the normal pathological processes and recognizes equipment limitations.
  • Maintains lists of breast sonographic exams performed from each patient as well as document the preliminary reading by the radiologists.
  • Troubleshoot problems regarding eaily operation of equipment-notifying appropriate personnel in the event of equipment malfunction.
  • Communicate effectively with Manager, Coordinator, Leads, Physicians and other personnel in a professional manner.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an RDMS Accredited Ultrasound Program

 

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Graduate of an RDMS Accredited Ultrasound Program
