Overview

Morristown Medical Center is seeking a per diem Invasive Cardiovascular Tech for Cardiac Catheterization Lab to work primarily 9AM-9:30PM hours, 2-3 times per week including on-call and weekends as required by department. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Previous Cath Lab experience preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Candidate will assist physician(s) with CATH/PCI, Peripheral, Impella, Structural Heart, (CoreValve, SAPIEN, MitraClip, Watchman, Valvuloplasty, PFO, ASD) and ICD cases.
  • Administers post recovery care of patients including, arterial and venous sheath removal.
  • Must be able to assess for and manage arterial site complications.
  • Adheres to On-call policy requirements and responds appropriate to emergency calls per unit policy.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Graduate of an Accredited CVT School with RCIS certification or within one-year of hire.
  • 1-2 years previous RCIS/CVT experience preferred.
  • ACLS/BLS Required.
