Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Senior Manager, Talent Branding & Communications. A key member of the HR leadership team, this role works in a matrix organization to develop powerful executive communications, drive team member engagement, and promote talent brand awareness. Your contributions will further Atlantic Health’s position as a certified Top 100 Best Place to Work For and strong leader in acquiring and retaining top talent. This role will report to the Director, Communications, and partners with teams across Atlantic Health System including the Human Resources Leadership, Internal CommunicationsMarketing and Public Relations.

Responsibilities

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in communications to collaborate on a variety of projects across Human Resources & the enterprise, with the following accountabilities: 

  • Executive Communications: Develop content and messages for the Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer, the Vice President, Human Resources and the Chief Diversity Officer of Atlantic Health Systemin various internal and external mediums ranging from speech writing and presentations to videos, blog updates, emails and podcasts. 
  • Team Member Communications: An important audience is our 18,000 team members across 400 + locations. This individual is responsible for developing and executing communications strategies that engage the team on the talent brand and business strategies. Key focus should be placed on creative communications strategies that bring the talent brand to life across multiple media platforms. 
  • Talent Branding: Develop communications strategies that positions Atlantic Health System as an organization team member love to work for. 
  • Live Events: Work with a cross functional team to lead content development for a variety of events including leadership meetings, town halls, board meetings, celebratory events and executive retreats. 
  • Media Relations: Partners with the AHS Public Relations team to develop innovative and effective media strategies to help tell the AHS story and build our reputation with stakeholders. 

 

This accomplished individual will: 

  • Have 10 years (minimum) of work experience developing and implementing effective communication plans and strategies, working with senior leaders, and managing proactive and reactive media relations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of developing and delivering multi-channel communications. 
  • Exude a strong executive presence, with a proven track record of working with all levels of team members, from front line to C-suite. 
  • Can thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. This individual is a fast learner, enjoys problem solving and can collaborate across teams. 
  • Be nimble, agile and willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job done. 
  • Possess the ability to work confidently on  multiple projects under tight deadlines while paying close attention to detail and quality. 
  • Have a passion for communications, creative storytelling and brand awareness. 
  • A keen understanding of current communications landscape. Tech and social media savvy in exploring different mediums/modes of communication to achieve communication objectives. 
  • The ability to create and execute social media strategies to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. 
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Masters preferred) and 10+ years’ experience in a large matrix organization.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business or a related field.

Relevant Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in internal communications, or related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Expert presentation skills, professional presence, and the ability to partner with colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience in copywriting and editing.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms such as Workplace by Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
