Overview

We are currently seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse in the I/P Psychiatric unit at Newton Medical Center to work night shift 7p-7a. 

Newton Medical Center has achieved the Pathway to Excellence® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills

 

Candidate will function as a part of the interdisciplinary team on the I/P Psych. unit for adults who are voluntarily and involuntarily hospitalized.

Qualifications

Education:

BSN Preferred

 

Required License:

Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required

 

Certifications:

BLS Required

ACLS Preferred

 

 

Related Experience:

At least 1-2 yrs. psychiatric nursing experience required
