Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Health Educator to work within our corporate Health Services department at Morristown Medical Center 

Responsibilities

Conduct programs to include but not limited to:

  • Coaching, nutrition counseling (with the use of top certification/license), health access navigation, health information tables, screenings within scope (biometrics, blood pressure, derma analysis, respiratory, etc.), tobacco cessation, worksite wellness programs (weight loss, disease prevention and mitigation, health education and coaching)
  • Design, implement, oversee and evaluate using individual and population-based health promotion strategies to improve lifestyle choices and create a healthy corporate environment
  • Monitor programs to assure: efficient and effective quality service, as well as, employee health outcomes
  • Report program and process data to internal and external clients
  • Serve as a community health and wellness resource person
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education and Promotion, or other related field from an accredited institution

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate has experience in successful health promotion programs 
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred, or CHES-eligible.
  • Maintain current applicable certifications and licenses current at time of onboarding CPR/First Aid certification
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong writing and verbal skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
