Overview

Seeking a per diem Childbirth Educator for the Parent Education Department at Morristown Medical Center. Hours: varied days / evenings; every other weekend.

Responsibilities

 

The selected candidate will provide Lactation consultant services to new moms and infants postpartum and assist with outpatient services along with support group.  This RN will educate and assist mothers with Breast feeding their newborns.

 

Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served, through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families, demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE cove values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job, and have excellent communication and computer skills.

 

 

 

Qualifications

A valid NJ RN license required

BSN preferred

IBCLc certification required

BLS certification required within orientation period

Previous lactation experience required
