Overview

Atlantic Health System is currently seeking a Full Time Phlebotomist II for our Laboratory Outreach Program to work varied shifts including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Position:

 

Outreach Phlebotomy Program requires an experienced Certified Phlebotomy Technician with excellent customer service skills to work with in a Patient Service Centers in Union. Must be able to work independently as well as with a team along with being able to travel from site to site as needed. Must contributes to the Atlantic Health’s mission by drawing blood from patients and collecting and documenting specimens based on physician orders. This clinical staff position is the face of the lab and their effort starts the whole laboratory process, providing phlebotomy draws with attention to patient comfort and the physician orders. Timely and accurate processing and documentation of the specimens impact the entire laboratory process.

 

Outreach phlebotomists travels to different off sites, doctor's offices and community events. Outreach Phlebotomy Program requires an experienced Certified Phlebotomy Technician with excellent customer service skills to work with in a Doctor's office or at one of our Patient Service Centers. Must be able to work independently as well as with a team along with being able to travel from site to site as needed. Qualifications

Minimum Education Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Completion of a certified phlebotomy program is required. ASCP certification is preferred

Minimum Experience Required:

  • 6months- 1 year preferred
