Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Hackettstown Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general Nuclear Medicine studies including Nuclear Cardiology within the hospital setting for inpatient, outpatient, and ER studies.

  • Maintains IV competency and follows departmental scanning protocols.
  • Able to start IVs and inject radioisotopes.
  • Able to utilize all Nuclear Medicine equipment and IT equipment to process nuclear Medicine exams.
  • Notifies Clinical Engineering of equipment issues and always maintains working area in a safe environment, maintain Joint Commission standards.
  • Use of critical thinking skills to make appropriate decisions based on clinical skills; works well within a team setting and uses clear, concise communication to be part of a dedicated and compassionate care team.
  • Dedicated to delivering safe, quality imaging at all times and follows the Image Gently and Image Wisely principles.
  • Commitment to patient satisfaction and high reliability.
  • Complete necessary QC/QA testing as assigned/required.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school Diploma / GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Certified in clinical nuclear medicine by the ARRT or NMTCB.
  • Licensed by the State of New Jersey to perform clinical nuclear medicine.
  • BLS through American Heart Association

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years performing clinical nuclear medicine in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Must be a team player and able to multitask in the hospital/outpatient environment.
  • Must exemplify professionalism and compassion while ensuring patient safety and the delivery of quality imaging services
  • Effective communication skills with physicians, coworkers, supervisors, etc. required.,
