Overview

Atlatntic Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for Surgical Associates of Sussex County.  This Physician Assistant will assist with surgery, round to both Newton and Hackettstown Medical Centers daily and will be the first ER call contact.  The ideal candidate will have had a physician assistant residency, assisted with surgery and will have managed surgical patients.  Hours are not set but will be similar to an 8-4 schedule, occasional weekend call - 1 in 4.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate will have the ability to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served
  • Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills

Qualifications

Must have:  ACLS, BLS,  and PA License in NJ.

 

At least 2 yrs exp. in a PA role assistng with surgery.
