Atlantic Health system is seeking an Associate Program Director for our Family Medicine Residency Program.  This physician will be a member of the

academic portion of the Department of Family Medicine with direct participation in the administrative and clinical oversight of the Family Residency program.

Administrative and Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Perform as the Associate Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program
  • Fulfill Program Director duties and responsibilities in their absence
  • Assist Program Director in the management of all program activities
  • Plan, organize, implement, direct and coordinate residency training and resident evaluation at the direction of the Program Director
  • Schedule, coordinate and oversees all daily education program activities of house-staff
  • Review and revise, as appropriate, residency program policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, review, and revise residency program curriculum.
  • Supervise, train, and oversee the performance of all house-staff
  • Assist with interviewing, recruitment, hiring, and retention of house-staff
  • Monitor and ensure that all ACGME and RRC requirements are in compliance and within regulatory standards


Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outpatient Family Medicine office hours.
  • Conduct inpatient Family Medicine rounds.
  • Provide in-house supervision of Family Medicine residents and students.
  • Subject to the needs of the practice, the Physician will maintain the following office hours: Mondays through Fridays and Saturdays as determined by the Physician in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of AMG, or his designee
  • Provide night and weekend phone coverage for the practice as part of the Physician’s on-call coverage group of which the Physician is a part.
  • Physician shall provide primary care services at area healthcare facilities or home visits as directed by the Chair of Family Medicine.
