Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time HVAC Mechanic III for Plant Operations based out of the AHS Corporate Office in Morristown, NJ.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

 

Ability to quickly assess any building related leak or adverse condition in terms of the source of the deficiency; this would include Plumbing Supply Lines, Roof Drains, Waste Lines, HVAC, and Sprinkler Systems. Technician should be able to quickly mitigate while the appropriate trades make repairs.

 

  • Performs preventative maintenance on ice machines, refrigerators, split units, condensers, air handlers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, exhaust fans and PTAC Units
  • Possesses understanding and skills related indoor air quality
  • Possesses an understanding of blueprints, diagrams and schematics
  • Performs repairs independently on air scrubbers
  • Performs repairs independently on Ceilings & Ceiling Systems
  • Can assess the condition of firestopping materials and make repairs as needed
  • Performs repairs independently on portable HEPA units
  • Ability to trouble shoot and perform basic repairs on thermostats
  • Ability to respond and quickly mitigate HVAC related leaks with tarps, hoses and other means to minimiz damage and interruption to patient care

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma Completion of HVAC School preferred

License/Certifications:

  • Valid NJ Drivers License required
  • Universal Certification required

Relevant Experience:

  • 3-5 years commercial HVAC experience
