Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician at Chilton Medical Center, for the Intermediate Medical Care Unit working primarily 7:00pm - 7:30am, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Function:

  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living
  • Obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights
  • Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
  • Performing post mortem care
  • Measuring and recording I & O
  • Performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
  • Observing and reporting changes in patients’ condition to the RN
  • Maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the Care Center

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of Healthcare Provider Course within six months required

Certification:

  • BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire

Relevant Experience:

  • 6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care experience preferred
