Overview:  

The Diabetes Center in Morristown, NJ is seeking candidates for a full-time Assistant Manager position of Clinical Services.  This is an opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is ready to step in a leadership role and remain part-time in clinical care in a busy tertiary diabetes education center that also assists in nursing support to our endocrinology physician practice.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required 
  • BSN preferred

 

Licenses and Certifications: 

  • Diabetes Educator Certification preferred
  • Valid New Jersey Nursing License required
  • BLS certification required

 

Experience:

  • Experience with individual and/or group education in DSME required
  • Experience with insulin pumps, CGMs, and glycemic management preferred
  • Certified pump trainer preferred or willingness to be trained
  • At least three years of RN experience required

 

Hours:

  • Full-Time: 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday with weekend rotation

  • 435 South Street, Morristown, NJ
