Overview

Internal Medicine in Hackettstown is currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • The CMA will perform clinical as well as administrative functions i.e. managing patient flow, rooming patients, patient intake, recording vital signs, managing phones, checking in patients upon arrival, scheduling and confirming appointments, collecting co-pays, verifying insurance, scanning documents into the electronic medical record, processing medical records releases, and other functions typical of a physician practice.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited medical Assistant program preferred

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required

  • Two years medical office experience preferred

  • EMR experience desired

  • Computer literacy and front line customer service skills essential

  • Ability travel to different practices if necessary and work flexible hours to accommodate practice hours
