Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant II for Surgical Consult Services, will travel Bridgewater and Morristown. 

 

Hours: 9am-5pm position

Monday through Friday, no weekend requirement

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • The Certified Medical Assistant II will manage patient flow, room patients, take vital signs, assist physician in procedures, manage phones, schedule appointments and surgeries
  • Certified Medical Assistant II will obtain test and surgery authorizations, work as a team with co-workers to support the physician, and other administrative/clinical tasks typical of a physician practice
  • Bilingual preferred

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required
  • Minimum two (2) years Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Computer literacy a must
  • EMR experience desired
