Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator, Oncology Research

Morristown Medical Center is currently seeking a fulltime Nursing Coordinator in the Oncology Research Department.



Essential Functions:

  • Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served
  • Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills
  • Responsible for Recruitment and Enrollment in clinical research trials with pharmaceutical and cooperative group sponsors
  • Ensures the recruitment of subjects for study participation; coordinates screening of subjects and ensures inclusion and exclusion criteria are met
  • Enrolls subjects through the relevant system (IVRS/OPEN, etc)
  • Navigates the patients throughout the clinical research study through follow up
  • Collects pertinent documentation
  • Manages budget and billing process
  • Responsible for sample management activities and ensuring proper collection and shipment



  • Fulltime hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm M-F with flexibility. 



  • BSN required


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid New Jersey Nursing License required
  • BLS Required
  • OCN and/or CCRC required



  • Minimum five years oncology and/or research nursing experience required
