Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Facilities Manager for the Clinical Engineering Department.  Required coverage of day shifts and additional shifts as needed, weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

General Purpose:

Atlantic Health System (AHS) and Atlantic Medical Group (AMG) owns and leases approximately 300 plus offsite medical office/ambulatory buildings, physician practices, labs and warehouse space throughout northern and central New Jersey and northeast Pennsylvania.

The Offsite Facility Manager will ensure the facilities are effectively operating and functioning to providing a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees by using best business practices to manage resources, services, and utilities.

 

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance requirements in accordance with lease terms and agreements
  • Conduct and document regular facilities inspections
  • Schedule, supervise and check maintenance repair work and work orders
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, health, safety and Joint Commission standards and codes
  • Respond to facility and equipment alarms and failures; provide prompt response to requests and issues from sites
  • Understand facility responsibilities as each site
  • Work with AHS Construction Team on turnover of new sites including commissioning, O&M Manuals, shop drawings, warrantees, guarantees
  • Manage relationships between landlord/owner
  • Manage internal relationships such as security, site managers and other AHS personnel

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in business, engineering, or equivalent professional level experience
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or equivalent related functions
  • Knowledge of OSHA and/or Joint Commission regulations
  • Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements and safety precautions related to healthcare facility management.
  • Well organized, detail and customer oriented
  • Solid computer and systems knowledge
