Overview

Morristown Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a full-Time Secretary/Technician for the Maternity/Mother Baby Unit, working primarily 7AM-3PM, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

 

  • Must assist the nurses in caring for low and high risk post partum Moms and Newborns as well as post OP GYN patients
  • Must actively exhibit and promote Patient Family Centered care Model as well as the Baby Friendly Philosophy.
  • This individual will also be responsible for secretarial duties - that include admitting and registering patients. Filing and dismantling charts
  • Assist the nurses with Patient care; VS, Assisting to ambulate, D/C foleys and IVs.

  • Newborn baths and bundle care

  • Function at times as a unit associate, answering the telephone, admitting and discharging patients, filing charts, etc.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • CST a plus

Related Experience:

  • In-house Acute Care hospital setting
