Overlook Foundation seeks an enthusiastic, proactive, articulate and thoughtful professional to join its major gifts team as the foundation enters the public phase of its $175 million Overlook Ahead comprehensive campaign. As a mid-level associate, you will help with all aspects of the donor engagement process including research, qualification, engagement strategy, cultivation, and solicitation to successfully raise $11 million annually in coordination with the major gifts team. You will work closely with the Executive Director, the Director of Donor Engagement and the Director of Strategic Development to manage a dedicated campaign cabinet, physician’s council and a community council. In addition, you will be the primary resource for creating research briefs, proposals, appeal letters, stewardship letters, call reports and associated campaign materials.
What You Will Do:
The development officer for Overlook Foundation will:
- Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individual donors and prospective donors and create strategies for successfully soliciting donors for major gifts of $5,000 and higher, - Manage a major donor pipeline for the campaign, |
- Utilize research software and tools to qualify prospective major donors, |
- Create proposals, research briefs, correspondence, appeal letters, stewardship letters and call reports, |
- Plan and execute small campaign events, - Provide administrative oversight for the suite of campaign councils in coordination with the Directors of Donor Engagement and Strategic Development, |
- Support donors as needed and provide shift coverage of a dedicated on-call hotline for high level donors.
