Overlook Foundation seeks an enthusiastic, proactive, articulate and thoughtful professional to join its major gifts team as the foundation enters the public phase of its $175 million Overlook Ahead comprehensive campaign.  As a mid-level associate, you will help with all aspects of the donor engagement process including research, qualification, engagement strategy, cultivation, and solicitation to successfully raise $11 million annually in coordination with the major gifts team. You will work closely with the Executive Director, the Director of Donor Engagement and the Director of Strategic Development to manage a dedicated campaign cabinet, physician’s council and a community council. In addition, you will be the primary resource for creating research briefs, proposals, appeal letters, stewardship letters, call reports and associated campaign materials.

• You have excellent communication and writing skills, strong project management skills and business acumen.
• You are an innovator and a self-starter with a strong eye for detail.
• You are curious and perseverant.
• You have demonstrated ability to pivot from working independently to working collaboratively.
• You understand how to leverage data and information to create meaningful and engaging donor strategies.
• You have three or more years’ experience working with major donors and/or high net worth individuals.
• You have experience with a customer relationship management tool or database such as Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce or Oracle.
• You have demonstrated success working with the MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• You have previous non-profit experience, preferably in the health-care sector.
• You have a bachelor’s degree.
• You are able to work a few, select nights and/or weekends as needed to support fundraising efforts.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.
