Atlantic Health System is seeking a Secretary/Technician for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at our Morristown Medical Center location. The shift is 7 PM- 7:00 AM, including every other weekend. 


  • Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
  • Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing and feeding
  • Measuring and recording vital signs
  • Administering basic treatments
  • Helping to ensure a safe care environment
  • Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
  • Secretarial duties including answering phones and call bells, filing, ordering supplies, keeping nurse station neat, etc. 
  • Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have positive customer service skills


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • CNA and BLS preferred
  • 1 year of acute patient care experience
  • Communication skills to care for patients with high acuity
  • Previous experience with ADL's
