Atlantic Health System is currently seeking a Full-time Electrician III for Newton Medical Center to work 7am - 3pm five days per week including rotation weekend coverage.


Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Position:

  • Possesses understanding and skills related to lighting circuitry. possesses understanding of blueprints, diagrams and schematics
  • Installs, repairs and replaces electrical circuits, motors, switches, outlets, plugs, fuses and insulators
  • Possesses the ability to follow manufacturer's procedures for preventative maintenance inspection, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, operation verification on all, but not limited to, electrical equipment
  • Repair, install, calibrate electrical equipment and components
  • Exhibits understanding and can demonstrate use of required hand tools, digital multi meter, and electrical safety analyzer
  • Inform supervisors of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, and any customer concerns
  • Work with and document the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery and vendor documentation
  • Develop electrical expertise through ongoing training and education
  • Assist with special projects
  • Performs duties as needed and directed by supervisor
  • Understands and can communicate the operation of emergency power systems, including generators and transfer switches
  • Possesses understanding of the daily operations of the departments supported (hospital, clinic, offsite locations, (etc.)
  • Has an understanding of the local and state electrical codes, Joint Commission, NFPA and other regulatory agencies
  • Ensures service completed and documentation submitted is accurate, complete and timely
  • Possesses knowledge of electrical equipment systems


Minimum Education Required:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of seven years hands on experience

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in field
