Atlantic Health System is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant for Womens Heart Program, Atlantic Medical Group in Morristown NJ

Monday through Friday
Essential Functions of Certified Medical Assistant:
Prepares and assesses patients for provider visit. Obtains Pre-Op paperwork, labs, referral consultation notes, and hospitalization and ED records prior to appointment.
Ensures exam rooms are neat, clean and stocked.
Observes, records and reports patient responses to medical care provided during appointment.
Prepares, administers and documents medications and vaccinations as ordered by provider and/or standing order policy.
Adheres to infection control and hand hygiene guidelines during all patient care activities.
Recognizes and adheres to National Patient Safety Goals and AMG safety policies.Performs Environment of Care laboratory quality control per policies.
Contributes to team and practice site operations by covering co-workers and providers during training, meetings, and lunch and/or as needed.
A high school degree or GED equivalent is required.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program and Certification, BLS certification required upon hire.
Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program; passing of an accredited Medical Assistant Certification Exam.
Current CMA certification must be maintained. Valid BLS (re)certification required upon hiring.
